Swift Stock ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of the merchants who use our application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you install or use the Swift Stock app (the "App") in connection with your Shopify-powered store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we access certain types of information from your Shopify account that are necessary to provide the App's core functionality:

  • Product Information: Product titles, SKUs, barcodes, variant details, and images — used to manage bin locations, generate labels, assign barcodes, and display product data throughout the App.
  • Inventory & Location Information: Inventory levels and Shopify location details — used to facilitate stock transfers, inventory updates, physical audits, and missing inventory detection across your locations.
  • Order Information: Pending fulfillment order data including line items, quantities, and customer shipping details — used to power the order fulfillment workflow.
  • Metafield Data: Product variant metafields — used to store and retrieve bin/shelf location assignments.

We do not collect any personal customer data from your store's buyers or visitors.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected from your Shopify account exclusively to:

  • Provide the core functionality of the App, including inventory transfers, stock updates, barcode label printing, order fulfillment, bin location management, inventory audits, and history tracking.
  • Store operational data (transfer history, inventory update logs, shift reports) in our database so you can view and export your audit trail.
  • Communicate with you regarding support requests submitted through the App's built-in support form.
  • Improve the App's performance and user experience.

3. Data Storage

Operational data (transfer records, inventory update logs, shift reports, and user account information if App Authentication is enabled) is stored securely in our database hosted on Fly.io. Product and inventory data is read directly from Shopify's API in real time and is not duplicated or stored permanently on our servers.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or business information with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Information is only shared as follows:

  • Shopify: Data is read from and written back to your Shopify store through Shopify's official API as part of the App's normal inventory management operations.
  • Infrastructure Providers: Our application is hosted on Fly.io and uses standard cloud infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your operational data (history logs, shift reports, user accounts) for as long as the App remains installed on your Shopify store.

If you uninstall the App, all data associated with your store will be permanently deleted from our systems within 48 hours, in accordance with Shopify's data protection requirements.

6. GDPR Compliance

Swift Stock complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhook requirements. We support the following Shopify GDPR webhooks:

  • Customer Data Request: We respond to requests from merchants to provide any customer data we store. Since we do not collect personal buyer data, these requests will confirm that no customer data is held.
  • Customer Data Erasure: We respond to requests to delete customer data. Since we do not store personal buyer data, these requests will confirm that no customer data needs to be deleted.
  • Shop Data Erasure: When a merchant requests deletion or uninstalls the App, we delete all associated store data within 48 hours.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data at any time.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format (CSV).

8. Cookies and Tracking

Swift Stock does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics tools. The App operates entirely within the Shopify admin environment using Shopify's built-in session management.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
