Swift Tech Development ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you install or use the SwiftPOS application ("App") in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
1. Information We Collect
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
- Store Information: We collect your shop URL, store name, email address, and timezone to identify your account and provide core functionality.
- Product and Inventory Information: We access product catalogs, variants, barcodes, and inventory levels to allow you to scan and checkout items in physical locations.
- Order Information: We access and create order data (including line items, taxes, totals, and POS tags) when a transaction is completed through the App.
- Customer Information: If you attach a customer to a POS order, we collect the customer's name and contact information specifically to process the receipt and order history.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information through the following methods:
- Shopify APIs: We sync data directly from your Shopify admin using Shopify's official GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Webhooks: We receive real-time updates from Shopify when products or orders are updated to keep your POS synced.
- Direct Input: We collect data you manually input into the App, such as staff user accounts, custom items, shifts, and app settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect in order to provide the Service and operate the App. Specifically:
- To enable Point of Sale (POS) checkouts and barcode scanning in your physical store.
- To synchronize inventory checks and shift tracking directly with your backend.
- To communicate with you regarding support requests, billing, and important app updates.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent activity or errors within the App.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or your customers' data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share data with third-party service providers (like Cloudflare for hosting/routing) solely to operate and maintain the App.
- Legal Compliance: We may share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
5. Data Retention
When you uninstall the App from your Shopify store, we will retain your data for 48 hours to allow for accidental uninstalls. After this period, or upon a direct erasure request via Shopify's mandatory webhooks, your data and your customers' data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
6. Your Rights
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Furthermore, we comply with Shopify's GDPR webhooks (Customers Data Request, Customers Redact, and Shop Redact) to ensure automated compliance with data deletion requests.
